Our firm is currently handling product liability claims involving Total Body products.
The FDA recently issued warnings regarding certain Total Body Essential Nutrition dietary supplements. The Total Body Formula “Tropical Orange” and “Peach Nectar” flavors, as well as the Total Body Mega Formula Orange/Tangerine products are being recalled after hazardous levels of selenium and chromium were detected.
The Alabama Department of Public Health has been advised to instruct consumers not to purchase or consume Total Body Formula in these flavors. Reactions to these products generally begin within 5 to 10 days of daily intake. Symptoms included fatigue, muscle cramps, joint pain, diarrhea, significant hair loss, and deformed fingernails.
The Total Body and Total Body Mega formulas identified as containing hazardous levels of selenium and chromium are as follows:
Total Body Tropical Orange - Lot Numbers 4016801, 4024801, and 4031801
Total Body Peach Nectar - Lot Numbers 4016802 and 4031802
Total Body Mega Orange/Tangerine - Lot Number 4031803
Currently, our firm is investigating and/or representing several individuals throughout the country that sustained injuries after consuming these Total Body products. We have already filed lawsuits on behalf of some of these individuals. Most recently, we filed a lawsuit on behalf of a gentleman that spent several days in the intensive care unit after consuming one of the Total Body products. Through laboratory tests, it was discovered that this gentleman had toxic levels of selenium in his body from ingesting the Total Body product.
If you or someone you know has suffered an injury resulting from consumption of one of the above products, contact our office and ask to speak to attorney Chris Hellums, or email Chris directly at ChrisH@PDKHlaw.com.
